Hallie plans to use her title as Mrs. Illinois to continue her work as a youth group leader and mentor.  She says “I have become increasingly more interested in the well being of today’s youth. Speaking out against drug and alcohol use among teens and bringing more awareness to the seriousness of internet predators has become a passion of mine.

 My goal is to educate both parents and their children through sharing the experiences of youth that have fallen victim to these unfortunate circumstances, along with what they might have done to prevent their misfortunes. You never know how you can change a person’s life until you step up and give it a try.”  Hallie looks forward to spending her year as Mrs. Illinois meeting with schools and organizations to educate students and parents on how they can protect themselves and their children from internet dangers.
